My name is Des'ola Gunter, and I'm from a small town in South Carolina called Batesburg-Leesville. I transferred through three colleges before finding the one I knew I wanted to graduate from, the Art Institute of Charleston. In June, I was a part of the first graduating class to walk across the stage and received my Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Photographic Imaging. Currently I have focused on portrait photography, mostly outdoor and in rural southern areas. No matter where I am at, whether I am in South Carolina or even as far north as Connecticut, I have found a way to have my images feel ethereal and Southern.
My most recent awards have been winning Award of Excellence in 2010 in the Visual Culture Awards and being College Photographer of the Year semi-finalist in 2008.

Hi Des'ola, thanks for making a post and introducing yourself. We've got a great team leader and I'm sure a great team as well.
