When I am not shooting daily news, features and sports, I am throwing a ball for my roommate's dog, playing softball or working on personal projects.
I graduated from the University of Illinois in 2007 and majored in Aviation Human Factors. I was planning on being an airline pilot but decided to go into photojournalism my senior year in college.
I am very excited to meet and work with all of you! I am extra excited because the day before I meet you is my last day at my newspaper job. I have quit the Daily Chronicle and am planning on moving back to my hometown of San Francisco, Calif.
I don't have a job set up, nor do I know any editors on the West Coast, but this is what I need to do.
I like to think that I shoot for the reader. Nothing makes me happier than hearing how my images have affected people. That is what I work for everyday.
