By Way of Introductions... (Austin Andrews)

All the cool kids seem to be doing it so I figured I'd chime in with a sentence or two.

I'm Austin, as it goes. I grew up in Calgary and spend more time in Vancouver now than anywhere else so I suppose that's home.

I shot for a paper in Johannesburg for nine months last year and am in Mexico on a book project 'til the end of November. My rap sheet is pretty short but I've had photos in Foreign Policy, Maclean's, Intersection and a few others. Most of my past work, however, has all been for NGOs.

I only met another photojournalist for the first time last year, some years after I'd started shooting for ZUMA Press. The EAW will be like a whole 'nother world...

(I genuinely can't wait to meet you guys. This will be such great fun.)

  1. Great work Austin, thanks for sharing.

Would love to talk to you about working for NGO's when we meet. I'm leaving my newspaper job and am really interested in doing work for non profits.

See you in a few days.
